Oklahoma Bingo

[ English ]

Oklahoma has long been analogous with Bingo. That is owing to the fact that the Indian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for years. Clients from each of the nearby states pile in trucks and visit Oklahoma to wager on Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a precedent setting ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. From that time, twenty three of the thirty nine Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have introduced bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma American Indian tribes to take advantage of the betting laws, and at this time operate ten gambling halls of their very own. Bingo is the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. automated games such as slot machines were not permitted, owing to the fact that they’re believed to lead to gambling problems at a higher rate than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma law has altered to permit big Native wagering gambling dens. You will now see Amerindian casinos with slots, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the American Indian gambling halls yet, but that is simply a matter of time. Nobody can determine what having other casino games in the bingo parlors will do for the appeal of bingo.
