As with any chat room, a bingo chat room has a certain demeanor that must be discerned. Just about all of this etiquette is relevant to other online chat rooms as well, and just amount to common sense. As in just about any form of electronic written communication. Typing all in capital letters is perceived as yelling and therefore rude. Of course at some point in their lives everybody mistakenly hits the Caps Lock, and this form of slip-up is completely forgivable, but it is still appropriate to follow it up with an appropriate absolution.
Cussing and the use of expletives is accordingly condemned, only more so. As atrocious as it is to display such language in anyother group of people where you don’t know the people really well, it’s as unacceptable in a net bingo chat room. Yet again this is just a matter of using the same clear thinking as you would in real life. Personal abuse focused at fellow enthusiasts are also not acceptable, even if you might feel that you are only indulging in some gamesmanship.
As a rule you’re always more fortunate to watch the chat for a while prior to barge in with your personal 2-cents’ worth. This will permit you to figure out what the other players are chatting about, including the atmosphere of the dialogue. Almost all bingo chat rooms are controlled, so there is ahuman at a personal computer somewhere being an alarm by software watching for certain terms and words. They won’t hesitate to kick players from chat sites if anything bad is seen, so it is not just the anger of your peers that you contend with if you insist on breaching web bingo chat site etiquette.
